Officially released yesterday, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande premiered their new joint single—”Stuck with U”—accompanied by a quarantine-themed music video.
Inspired by the ongoing COVID-19 global health epidemic, all sales and streams are being donated to the First Responders Children’s Foundation, which, as the name suggests, supports grants and scholarships for children whose parents are on the front lines as essential workers during this difficult time.
In 24 hours, “Stuck with U” has raised over $25,000 dollars.
As for the song itself, Bieber and Grande delivered a quarantine smash. A lighthearted, upbeat song with heaven-sent vocals, “Stuck with U” sheds a positive light on a dark and stressful situation.
Although the idea of being “stuck with” someone sounds inescapable, the song explores the benefits of getting to know one’s significant other:
The video, which is currently #3 Trending on YouTube, has over 20 million views in one day and features a plethora of celebrities, accompanied by fans who submitted their own videos. Exactly a week before the single’s release, Bieber posted an Instagram where he attached the instrumental, and encouraged his fans to record themselves dancing in their prom dresses and graduation attire.
Throughout the video, Grande sings with her dog Toulouse, a Beagle-Chihuahua mix who has also appeared in several other music videos, including “Thank U, Next” and “7 Rings”.
In addition to footage inside Bieber’s house, JB belts out his parts while on a nature hike with his wife, Hailey Baldwin.
The video also features cameos from Ayesha and Steph Curry, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, Michael Bublé, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Jaden Smith, and Chance The Rapper.
