In anticipation of his sixth studio album, Drake dropped Scary Hours 2 on Friday, containing three singles that featured Lil Baby and Rick Ross.
With Certified Lover Boy slated to drop in upcoming months, Drake released the three-track EP as a sequel to the original Scary Hours, which included singles “Diplomatic Immunity” and “God’s Plan,” one of Drizzy’s most commercially successful songs to date.
Drake starts off the EP with his own single, and also released a music video for “What’s Next”:
Next, Drake features Lil Baby on “Wants and Needs”. We’ve seen this duo team up before, most noticeably on “Yes Indeed” and “Never Recover”, and once again, the two rappers did not disappoint.
Lastly, Drake and Rick Ross teamed up for “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” a six-minute song that samples Quadron’s “Pressure”. After another successful Drake and Rick Ross feature, one can only wonder who Drake’s best feature has been throughout his career; Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, or Rick Ross are all in the conversation.
Overall, Scary Hours 2 went 3/3 and left the music world even more excited for Drake’s highly-anticipated album, Certified Lover Boy.
